By considering the way light decreases in intensity with distance New Zealand philosopher and scientist Brian St. Clair Corcoran has succeeded in linking gravitation, electricity and magnetism in terms of a unified field. This synthesis reveals that the visible universe is structured in terms of hyperbolic spiral geometry. We can see examples of spiral geometry when we view spiral galaxies, cloud formations and whirlpools.

This work provides for a new five dimensional model of the universe that supercedes Einsteins four dimenional space-time model. In this new model the universe comprises four finite dimensions of space-time plus an infinite dimension referred to as zero time.

Using this five dimensional model of the universe as as a frame of reference the author presents a blue-print for a revolutionary new civilisation that exhibits the desirable qualities of social harmony, political stability and sustainable economic prosperity lacking in our present day civilisation.

The five dimensional model of the universe arrived at by the author is supported by the works of the British scientist Sir Isac Newton, the German physicist A. Kaluza 1921. the French philospher Teilhard de Chardin, the American scientist T.J.J. See (1943), the British scientist and philosopher J.C. Bennett in collaboration with the British mathematician R.L. Brown, the Swedish astronomer Gustaf Stromberg (1966), the New Zealand researcher Bruce L. Cathie and the Austrian philosopher Walter Schauberger (1968)
